For DNS customers: just received notification from DirecTV that they are changing their DNS programming package. If you haven't received your card yet, you will. See the attached.

I was able to open the PDF, too.

Note that while the above letter mentions East Coast, which coast you'll get is determined by your billing address (or perhaps service address...I'm not clear on which they use).

It's always been the service address.

I still cant open it. I have the latest version of Adobe Reader and Acrobat, neither will open it. It just gives an error message that the file is damaged and could not be opened. Oh well I doubt we can get both coast in HD DNS.

Opens with Foxit reader just fine.

It doesn't say if you take the $20 one if you get both coast in HD.
Did they leave that out on purpose?

What exactly does this mean? We also will be getting both coast. As of now we are in Louisiana, will we get the east coast channels then a few hours latter get the west coast channels? East and west coast will be showing the same programs?

I never received any of this so emailed DirectTV and email back said they had never heard of this.

So I just sent them a copy of the letter!!!

Now will see what happens.

The beauty is if you miss one feed, you can likely get the other. The east coast feed is 3 hours earlier than the west feed.

Got the same letter. After being DirecTV customers for over 10 years, we're making the switch to Dish. This isn't the only reason....simply the proverbial straw.

Wish we still had both feeds (long story) as with the DVR we could catch all of our shows when we wanted them; now there are some that we have to wait for re-runs to catch...even with the dual tuners.
