Hmmmm, that's strange. Willie's Place still shows up as channel 811 on the DirecTV website guide HERE. It's about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way down the page.

It appears that DirecTV and XM have "fallen out of love". XM gone - music channels replaced with 'SonicTap' effective Feb. 9 - see here.

Personally, I'm not impressed... not enjoying that or the latest DTV rate increase.

Direct TV will put it in higher priced package and tell you---- you have upgrade to get it. They did RFD-tv that way with me. with out RFD - tv, you don't have TV.

RFD Tv was one of very Favorite channels when I had sat Tv. Sat's gone and so's RFD Tv.
Amazing how the system jerks their customers around. I'm now on Digital outside antenna and
HDTV inside. Really don't miss the monthly bill.
Safe Journeys...

Second that MM! Ain't no use to complain, as I'm sure it's a cost cutting move for DirecTV to change music provider -- still a bunch of BS!

Hamguy, what package do have? There are several of them, what I am saying is, I had to move up a tier to get RFD-tv back again. At a much increased premium. Everything else that went along with the upgrade is a pos.

I have the same basic package I sighed up for 7 years ago. It is no longer available but I have not lost any channels that I know of and still have RFD.

Maybe they forgot I am out here.

Per DirecTV website, RFD TV (DirecTV channel # 345) is currently available in the 'Choice' (lowest price) and all above packages.

Anyone else ever browse the guide and realize how few of those channels you ever watch? But are paying for anyway? Excluding locals, which I can receive as well or better with an outside antenna (including the new digital subchannels DirecTV generally doesn't carry), I probably only watch a dozen or so channels on a regular basis.

DirecTV is getting too expensive! Anyone else for a la carte pricing? (I know, don't hold my breath.)

Heck I would even be happy if I could just eliminate all the channels I don't want to see from the guide. I have maxed out the receivers memory with the ones I have already deleted.

Those of you on the basic & select (DIRECT TV). I hope it doesn't happen to you, but my RFD-tv just dissppeared during a days viewing. I called customer service and was advised that my tier no longer included that channel. If I wanted to continue receiving RFD-tv I had to go to the next higher tier, which was $30.00 more per month. Since there is no TV with out RFD-tv, I paid their ransom. Now I see where they want another increase in 2010. TERRORIST!!

I don't know what the package is. I loooked it up and it says "Total Choice Plus". It is the same one I got when I first set up w/ Direct in 2003. I have the 'STARZ' add-on so I can see the Westerns Channel. I have been exceptionally pleased w/Direct. I have 5 receivers and DNS.
