I see from the manual for out LP1000 RoadTrip antenna that is will not work with Directv HDTV receivers or any others that use other than 101 and 119. Does this mean it will not work period, I can not receive HD programming or I can not receive HD from 110?

We have an standard 101 receiver in the MH now and it works fine. Just thought if we can get some of the HD channels it would be nice. When I get a few minutes I can grab one of the HD receivers from the house and try it out.

DirecTV HD uses Ka band. Your dish is Ku band, so you won't get HD. You'll need an open face dish with multiple LNBs to get DirecTV HD.

Thanks kj. Guess I knew that. I swear the DTV service guy removed the Ka band LNB at the house. He did change the entire head on the slimline dish so who knows.

I don't know that you'd want to change services just to get HD, but Dish HD would work.

Still have two analog TVs so for now we will stick with Directv. When we change out the main one for a HD then I will have to figure out what to do. I don't think Dish has YES network either, a must for Yankees fans.

He did not remove the KA band LNB. If your antenna was updated, it was either updated to a Slimline 3 or 5 dish. The SL-5 has what appears to be 3 LNB's. The one most centrally located actually contains 3 LNB's that will pick up the 101KU signal plus the 99 and 103KA signals. The other 2 LNB's pick up 110 and 119 (not much of anything there any longer). If you now only have one slightly oval, slightly larger LNB, then you have the SL3 which receive only the 99, 101 and 103 signals.
No dome on the market today can receive the 99 and 103 DirecTV HD signals.

You are correct, Yes is not on Dish.
