Have a 2000 Endeavor and an old Sony receiver with the auto dish key in lat and long I think Seems to work but no subscription. Question What do I have to do to get going? Call and sign up for new card and have Sony unit serial number or do I need a new LBN and receiver? One or both?

I am using a Sony A65 receiver with an in motion dome antenna. Just call Direct TV to have the card activated or get a new card for the receiver.

Both are from about 2002.

My dome requires the low speed data port that the Sony receiver does have. This is probably not an issue for you.

Depends whether or not you are an existing sticks & bricks customer with an existing Directv account. First confirm whether or not it has an access card. If it does, copy down the serial number of the card. Next, you'll have to somehow get the serial number & model number of the receiver (back of receiver, very small & hard to read). Here's where it gets "Tricky", if it is a newer Sony receiver, copy down the "RID" number, it is in addition to the serial number of the receiver, copy both down. If it is an older receiver without a "RID" number you maybe sunk because Directv has implemented a new policy that will NOT activate an Non-RID'ed receiver. If it is an old receiver but you are a customer in "Good Standing" they will activate an older one for you (you just have to beg a little). A good website source for all things Satellite/Digital TV google up DBSTalk.
