Dish and ViaSat JV

Seems like this may present an option for In Motion Satellite Internet at a reasonable price, albeit perhaps not housed in a dome!

ViaSat certainly has the technology to make it happen.

TV, Phone, and the Internet all in one package.

Google "Wild Blue" for further information. Dish will tell you that this is available only on a Zip Code basis due to band width constraints. Seems to me that once Dish installs at your residence, you should be able to move this back and forth from house to RV together with modem and router. All you would need is the telemetry information. The question would be whether they track your location base on you bandwidth usage.

Anyone is welcome to jump in on this discussion. Package is $49/mo two year commitment. $99 installation fee.

Wild Blue is definitely not for portable use and barely works under any circumstances. It is over subscribed and customer service is terrible and expensive.

Thanks for your opinion. I have been reading the same as I explore the options for portable Satellite Internet Service. Pretty discouraging unless you have a lot of money to spend not just for this initial setup but for the service.
