dish+king dome

I have a king dome autoscan satellite system and just connected a dish receiver to it. I'm having trouble getting a signal? can anyone walk me through the setup process? I've called both king controls and dish for help but nothing solid? I know there are plenty out there who have this setup and it works? please help

Make sure you do a check switch under installation.

There are 3 things that are important.

1 You must have a clear view of the proper arc of sky. I suggest that for set up you be in something like a shopping mall (Major mall) parking lot where there are NO TREES or other obstructions and you can clearly see a full 180 degrees of sky.

Second: The dome must be set for DISN HETWORK

Third. what the other poster said CHECK SWITCH on the dish receiver.

Of course if it's not properly hooked up or if it's a SINGLE LNB (Means only supports one receiver) and you use multiple receivers or if it's a DUAL (supports more than one receiver) and you are trying to look for programming that is on one satellite with one receiver and a different bird with the other.. You will have issues.

One Lense (What a Dome has) is called SOLO by the way

When I had a King Dome, I found their phone support very good. There was a procedure that needed to be followed when turning it on. In my case I had to push a certain button 6 or 7 times for it to know what to do. Once I master the sequence of button pushes it became a simple step to have it find the satellite. I wish I could remember the sequence(s), but if your is the same they should be able to tell you. I think it was also in the manual, but who reads manuals.
