Dish Network Down Yesterday.

We pulled into our site ( Jackson Hole, WY ) yesterday, no signal on dish, rebooted, refreshed and unplugged, all the usual stuff. The folks across from us had no signal either. Returned from our day out today and thought I’d try again.....there it was all up and running.
Wondering if it was an issue with anybody else? The guy we talked to a
TmDish to change our locals ( their website was down ) just gave us the stock answer. And the weather has been the same each day, breezy and partly cloudy.

Only issue we have with Dish is that they and the PDX Fox network are having a pissing match on their broadcast contract(s)..... So no channel 12 or 49...

We got into Bristol TN on Sunday and tried to set up our locals; Dish said that they were doing a software update and to call back. We were close enough that the spot beam reaches from our previous location, so we did not bother to call back. The content was as usual, so just lived with it.

Dish really is doing some strange things, but we are used to it.

Thanks, all. Just weird. Maybe some weird atmospheric thing between the satellites and Jackson Hole. They have had some tech issues......all is good now. Knock on wood.

Yesterday we watching Dish when the management came by and told us to move our dish off the grass and onto the cement pad. We only moved it about 3 feet and couldn't find the satellites and would go thought switch testing but won't go into satellite alignment. Unplug several times and nothing seemed to work. Then I noticed my dish receiver had upgrade to the software. Turn it off and left it off for the rest of the day and tried again in the evening and worked. Now when getting the part the says pick state after you select state it automatically goes into "SCAN Mode" with a 5-minute count down bar that wasn't there before.

We stopped west of Albuquerque on 8-13 for the night. Had similar problem as OP. Called Dish, tech walked me through his script with his final direction to see a local dealer. We went inside the casino to lose some $$. When we came out, the service was up and working. Just had to change to get local channels. Glad to know it just wasn't us.
