Dish also had an uplink center go down Saturday night that affected a lot of customers for several hours. Two major outages in 4 days, wow!

We noticed all the HD channels gone last night. I told DW then that it was a problem with one of the satellites.

Dish said, "The nationwide outage was caused by a "satellite anomaly," a Dish spokesman told CNN."

Now that says a lot, doesn't. I guess an anomaly would be a mouse chewed through a wire and they had to send a technician up to fix it. Why can't they just say what the problem was, "A computer glitch caused by a technician pushing the wrong button." My words, not theirs.
