Has anybody made there own ladder mount for the tailgater or VuQube? Just don't feel like paying $150 - 200 bucks to buy one.. If you have any pictures that would be great also.. Thanks

My tailgater is supposed to arrive tomorrow. If you come up with something let me know. I'm figuring it shouldn't be that hard or expensive to make a bracket to mount it on the ladder.

You will love the tailgater.. I got mine friday and set it up in the front yard and was watching hd tv in 5 mins.. Can't wait to take it camping and get rid of the BIG old dish and the time it took to setup and find all the sat's..

I bought my Tailgater three days ago at the Florida RV show in Tampa ( largest show in N America), and it seems great. I had it hooked up in 5 minutes, and locked on via a very easy menu in 5 more. The only trouble I had was talking to an exceptionally dense, non-customer oriented woman at the RV Pay as you Go 800 number who hated her job. 60 minutes later, and three transfers, I convinced someone at the main Dish number I wanted to activate a new unit with pay as you go, since I use DSL at home. Thre was some discussion of my physical location vs my billing address.

I now have HD channels when I drycamp or go to the State Parks

I woud encourage anybody buying a new TailGater or Carryout to try their setup at home first and pay one month for experimenting before you try it on the road.

As for he TailGater ladder bracket, I saw one blog talking about how Mickey Mouse it was, and I plan on making my own. I think the TailGater would be easy to steal. The locking ring is a joke. I think I could cut it with my fingernail clippers.

Update:
Just came from camping world and found the VuQube ladder mount on sale for $70 bucks.
They are not stocking them anymore so they are blowing them out.. A lot better than $150 to 200 bucks on line...
