I'm sitting here at GNR parked next to "AF Chap" watching all the broken Winegard users chase the Winegard Service techs in their golf carts...Had some strong winds yesterday. Thought many flapping Winegard antennas were coach flags..
No MotoSat Service techs at GNR...not needed..all MotoSats working fine...

Grand National Rally -- the annual Winnebago rally held in Forest City IA just down the street from the factory. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,500 or so Winnebago coaches are normally present! Sometimes there is even a restored Winnebago trailer there!!!

Chief,
Seems to be Winegard only. See me at MIL-WIT Row B-3-28..Suncruiser..and I'll give you area vendor I used..I highly recommend...not a jobber..but a professionl that knows SATs and coach installation. I'm 200% pleased. Come see demo too if desired..It'll blow your socks off!

Good item for the GNR feedback sheet in your packet -- we can suggest having a MotoSat vendor at GNR.

In the past Winnebago would only allow vendors that did not compete with the products that Winnebago installs. Therefore, NO MOTOSAT! This may have changed but that used to be the policy. They were going to let us sell our MotoSAT Datastorm there a few years back but we could not display the TV antennas. Unfortunately, we were not able to make that rally and we have not had any further contact since then.

A missed opportunity for potential customers then...and now...until MotoSat marketing execs knock on Winnebago door again,,,???
However..I suspect fine print contract agreement between Winne and product provider Winegard...but continued marketing contact with Winnie is needed for all customers.

I have a crank-up Winegard Dish that works great. When will the slop/movement start?

Ed, most of the torque from the wind is placed on that little set screw on the elevation gear. Before I tightened mine I thought I needed a new gear kit. If I have additional problems with that set screw, I'll drill in another set screw or two but it's been holding so far.
Good luck.

OK, ..... we'll have to wait and see what happens from here on out with the winds.
At the Winnebago Grand Nat'l Rally Winegard just replaced the turret assembly of my dish. The new type has a beefy hex-head screw instead of the set screws.
The tech was here and gone in 10 minutes. Thanks to Winegard for the no-charge change-out.

Manual Dish Fix,
The RP-RM46 "wind" kit is more or less the actual turret replacement for the unit. It replaces the worm gear, elevation gear, directional handle, etc. The RP-RM46 retails for around $41.00, you can order it through Swiden Co. They are a parts distributor for Winegard parts. Their number is 1-800-492-7736
