Dish Tailgater Pro going into Standby Mode knocking out rear TV
I have a Dish Tailgater Pro 2 with two Wallys with a TV in the front of my Class A 36 footer and a TV in the bedroom in the back. My wife likes to leave the TV on most of the night and well what choice do I have if it drowns out my snoring.
It seems that sometime in the middle of the night the front TV and Wally go into a stand by mode and knocks the rear TV signal out. Then I have to put the front TV on a channel and then reboot the rear box to get a signal back there.
I know about changing channels in the primary TV and if the rear is on a different satellite you lose the channel but I cant figure out the standby thing.
Any help would be appreciated.

When I had Dish Network the receivers would go to standby once per day to download updates to the software. On the older receivers I could tell it what time to do this and even disable it. But when I got the Wally I believe there was no option to disable the auto standby. I do think I could still pick the time it went on standby though. When the Wally went on standby during the night the dish would have to be reset each morning.
I'm talking from memory because we dumped Dish 18-months ago and stream all of our TV now.

I'm doing this from memory, but I think you can go into the settings menu and select Power or Standby. There you can select how long the front unit runs before it shuts down and updates, but I think the maximum is 8 hours.

Too much time elapsed to edit the previous post, but I checked my Wally once I got home. There are two settings under Power. You can set the "Inactivity Timeout" to up to 8 hours or Off (which it says is not recommended). You can then set the "Daily Reset Time" to some time during the day when you aren't using the TV.
