Morn'n All
Thanks for all the comments on the different cell services. As I delve deeper into a solution for my delima Rick Long's offerings seem to be the most resonable resolution. I wonder if anyone on this forum has gone that route and what the results might have been. I have toyed with telling AT&T I'm moving "Home" to S.D. where even thier website says they have no service in the area but I'm not a fan of fibbing and lets be honest here it's not home. Oh well we'll see what happens. Good roads to all

Yikes, the truth hurts.
Ain't gonna happen. Someone fell out of bed in that deal which is why Verizon is now pushing the Droid so hard.

I travel all over the US and Puerto Rico, and the only place I have not had coverage is Death Valley. Frankly I'd like to see lots of people quit and leave, more bandwidth for me.

Boy,I can't wate jump on this bandwagon. I left at&t last month, because of hardly any signal at my home and none at most camp grounds here in tn. we have been with them for years. We just started rving this summer. they kept saying that they were going to get mor towers."TO CHEEP".
So far verizon has been great, always towers here at home.
The way we got out of our contract, which we had six months left, was to call an get a supervisor, explain your problem, ask what he would do if it was him that had this problem.
You may have to be forcefull [not rude] ,but I think you will have a good ending.

We fulltimed all over the USA for about 3 1/2 year with both Verizon and AT&T wireless phones. We ALWAYS got a better connection with Verizon, and got a connection more often (in more places) with Verizon. AT&T is getting better, but ...

Sure hope Apple does a deal with Verizon! The only reason I have AT&T now is for the iPhone. If/when iPhone is on Verizon I'm switching ASAP.

Just ain't gonna happen. After the Verizon/ Apple announcement many months ago there was nothing further until several weeks ago with Verizon pointing their guns straight at the iPhone with the Droid, and they're not being nice (watch the commercials). Why would Apple want to supply a one-off CDMA phone just for Verizon when this GSM phone is #1 anywhere in the world, especially after slamming the product?

Among the many rumors being ground out by the rumor mill is that Apple's next iPhone will be a "world phone" that can do both GSM and CDMA in the frequency ranges used by in the USA as well as the frequency ranges used in Europe/Asia. But the mill also points out that this could make the phone larger and more expensive.

As for not being nice to each other: Apple and Microsoft are often not nice to each other either, but each supports the others products. Apparently Microsoft's Mac products are very profitable for Microsoft; Apple wants Microsoft products on Mac to fit better into a biz setting; but still they take swipes at each other like Stiller & Meara. Biz.

Anybody want to make a bet that Apple will never sell a phone hosted by Verizon?
Not me!

I'd probably take you up on that. There are plenty of phones that are exclusive to the carrier, iPhone being one of them. Now that Verizon has a really "smart" phone, the pressure is off. If you look at the tech news, all the chatter is about the Droid and not the iPhone. Apple will clearly not sell the quanity of CDMA that they have GSM, and now even less.
