We have just realized that the TV's in our 2005 Dutch star are the old type, any,s. A simple question. If I install a roof sat receiver will the TV's be able to deal with the signal? Likewise the signal you get in trailer parks down south, Arizona, - will our TV's be able to deal with that signal?
Does anyone have any thoughts?
Dave

Your TVs will work with any satellite system or cable TV. The only signals you will not get are the free antenna signals.

You can get free air signals if you install the tuner boxes .I installed two boxes just before the coupons ran out. I don't have a problem with mine. I like the boxes. I get many more channels and clear reception.

They probably want receive digital over the air tv without a box and you should not have a problem with sat. long as you don't want HD sat.

Thank you - that's the answer I was looking for. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a satellite system?

Roof sat = output from a sat box should have a RCA and other outputs (some new ones may not) so it will work

Trailer parks - if standard cable system it will most likely work.

Thoughts - Negative New LCDs would have to be fitted and installed (if mounted)
Positive: OTA HD signals (look good) and lowers weight. Some can also be used as computer monitors (extra plus).
