Do you stow your rooftop sat dish during periods of high winds? We've never been too concerned about it but after two months here in SW Minnesota I'm beginning to wonder.

We have a Slimline Travlr so it's quite a sail up there.

Thanks,

Rick

Yes, we do. High winds will blow our dish off the satellite, anyway, so we just stow it.

Only stowed it once and one other time it was blown off the sat and had to be re-aimed.

I asked Winegard about that and they said the dish will withstand hurricane force winds. That is also mentioned in the manual I believe.
We do not stow ours and it has withstood 50 to 60 mph gusts with no damage.

Stowed it last year in Quartzsite during the storm with 60+ MPH winds that flooded a good portion of the town. I'm not worried about the antenna (and it doesn't blow around at all) but saw no reason to stress the roof.
