For the past 2 weeks I have been unable to access channels 124-159 PPV. Finally moved to a different area and was able to make phone contact with Directv for technical assistance. The cs advisor there indicated that the 18 inch dish I use will no longer receive those channels as they have recently been moved to a different satellite #.
I was told I would need a 5 LNB dish to access those channels.

Am I being given correct info?

My 2 receivers are HD model #H21-100. Up to about 2 weeks ago every thing work fine. Since both receivers exhibited same results, I switched to my external tripod antennae and again got the same results. I assume my system is ok.

I found a 5LNB Slimline dish that I might want to use as an external tripod dish set up.

Would this be a viable solution?

Marty

I see that those channels are gone from my listings as well. I am sure others will be along with multi-head dishes to better answer but it not, we are about to install a 5-LNB automatic on our coach and it will be interesting to see if they come back. It seems that PPV on those channels are now CINE on channels 160-199. Maybe this is the same programming that was on those channels.

We have a 5-LNB Slimline at the sticks-and-bricks and haven't noticed any PPV channels missing the last time I looked. I'll check again tonight when I get home from work.

They're still there and labeled as CINEHD. Starting at channel 160, they're labeled CINE.

Guess I will go ahead with getting a 5LNB Slimline dish. At least I will be able to use the HD quality with my new LCD HD tvs

Thanks for all the responses. Looks like the DTV customer service guy I spoke with was on the ball and correct about channel line up changes.
