We have a Kingdome 9704 on our MH and are considering switching from DTV to Dish. Will the KD need any re-configuring to receive the Dish signals? BTW, we are not interested in HD, just SD.
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Yes you will need to reprogram the King Dome for DISH. It requires a #1844 King Controls Keypad. My 9704 came pre programmed for DTV. I called King Controls and they loaned me one with a deposit against my credit control. After the Keypad arrived, I called King Controls and they talked me thru the reprogramming. I then returned the Keypad and they gave me my deposit back.

As Wayne said, the answer to your question is "yes."
I'm sure you are already aware of this, but if not, a heads up using a dome for Dish Network: Unlike DirecTV SD programming which uses only one satellite, Dish Network's SD programming is spread across two satellites. While the bulk of their SD programming is on the 119 satellite, there *may* be channels you'll want to watch that appear on the 110 satellite.
If you have only one TV and aren't using a DVR, then this isn't a problem, since the dome will toggle between the two satellites based on the channel you select. However, if you have two TVs and you often watch separate programs, be aware that, unless both of the programs you want to watch are on the same satellite, one of you won't be able to watch your program since the dome "sees" only one satellite at a time.
The same is true with a DVR. If the program you are watching is on a different satellite than the program you want to record, you won't be able to do that...both programs will have to be on the same satellite.
