Hi Everyone,
I was working in the RV today,it was in the mid 50's today here in SE PA, the problem is the DVD player will not power on with genny running, (Onan 5k),the tv goes on, both are plugged into same outlet,I was running genny today with a load on it,the DVD will power on if I am plugged into shore power. I can't figure it out.Anybody have this problem? I still have the orginal TV (made in 1995 sticker on back) that is going on the curb this week, also I am in process of installing 20" flat screen with built in DVD. Bedroom still has orginal TV. Also after I remover front TV I found a small round plug (1/4"dia.) marked SONY
it was not connected to anything.
WE have a 1996 Winnie 34 RQ on f53 chassis.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Rick & Robin

RobinGio,

Have you tried switching what plugs in where? What I mean is, try plugging the TV in where the DVD is plugged in and vice versa. If the DVD now works and the TV doesn't, this is the way your coach is wired.

Our coach was set up so that the TV would not operate from the generator or inverter, but would run on shore power only. I assume this was done so as not to encourage us to run the TV while driving down the road.

Anyway, you might give it a whirl.

Steve
