They did not have the one you listed - however the one that was shown as replacement is the GE2424LU20

Okay - update for all.

Ordered out the LG external and it is compatible with LightScribe.

Went to the website and downloaded the software - and went through a test burn.

Only issue I have at all is - it takes approximately 20 minutes to burn but that is the way things are for the time being. Will live with it this way.

Don't forget that it will write to the "Printable" cd/dvd's also. With that you can do color. There is no label. The cd/dvd is directly printed to. Worth a few bucks to experiment. Heck, after a year or two the user will have forgot about them or thrown them away.
