E-mailing a picture from My Pictures

How would I get a picture from My Pictures to my e-mail in order to send a particular picture to someone? This is something I've never tried to do.

Don't know what OS you are using, but in Mac OS I can view one of my saved photos, right click, and "save as" and download to my computer to insert into my email program like any photo on the computer. Once sent, you can move the photo to the trash if you don't want it on computer.

If you're using Gmail, you can drag and drop a photo into the email.
