Hello gang. Trying to decide which monitoring system to get. Either Scanguage II or Silverleaf. This should be an easy choice because currently, according to Scanguage, they don't have a system for my rig yet but are working on one. So, working on the assumption that there will be a choice that can be made...
What are the advantages of one over the other? I know that the information is presented to two different formats, the SCII has the little repeater while the VMS for SLF works off a laptop. Can the information from the SCII be downloaded to a comp? I must say off the top that I do like the graphical presentation of the SLF. But I know thats just not the heart of the system, it's how it works for us that I would like to know about.
Thanks,
Stewart

I'm shopping too...
Worth noting tho, in addition to thier free VMSpc software, silverleaf has 5 or 6 different standalone devices, similar to SC2.
Also, as I understand it, SC2 connects to and reads data from the ODB2 port used on cars, pickups, and gas motorhomes, while silverleaf connects to and reads the data from the CAN2 bus on modern diesels
I'm gonna get one this week, anyone know which style diagnostic connector a 2008 Monaco RR8R would use, and where I'd find the connector?

Jim you will have either a 6 or 9 pin round connector. It should be somewhere above the dirver's left foot. Mine was burried in a wire bundle above my foot but others have found it concealed in the side panel.
Check the picture of the plug.

Is it caaaampin season yet?
If I have to spend another winter in the flatlands, I will just roll over and die.
