I have found that manuals for almost every piece of equipment (especially electronic) in my RV and associated are available on-line.

Most are in PDF form.

I find it much easier to keep the digital file in the RV than the heavy paper counterparts.

From the dash radio to the Basement air to the Indoor-Outdoor thermometer and digital camera, they are (mostly) all there. Just put in the manufacturer and model number (or at least the model) and google.

Basically "hamguy's" advice is a very good idea.

While I have not fully done what he did, I have requested and received from Winnebago a complete set of electrical diagrams, plumbing drawings and parts assembly info plus part numbers in a set of PDF files for my coach. Now when I need info I just go to the laptop and open the appropriate file to find what I need.

This has helped me find correct vendor part numbers for parts like inverters, power converters, plumbing parts, and other functional devices.

I've just started doing this_; now I have a problem. Fired up the laptop, it sizzled for a fraction of a second, then went dead. This is the reason we never became a paperless society, as the newborn computer age forcast.
