Flat screen TV mounting bracket for tt ?
Thinking about a new hybrid trailer. On the one wall there is a decal for where a wall mounted flat screen TV bracket could be attached. The dealership says they can put one on, but they don't sell them. They said just go to Wally World and pick one up. My question is: are the brackets sold at big box stores like Wal-Mart, made for RV's. We want one that would swing out to be viewed from the couch or turn it a little to be viewed from the dinette area. Will all TV brackets have a locking feature to keep it in place while traveling. We have a 22" flat screen now, but would think about getting one a little larger.

Many swivel brackets have locking countersunk allen screws at the pivot points that can be tightened with an allen wrench.
In our case we retract ours into the space formally occupied by the old TT when traveling. Then swivel it out and aim it at the bed, (or living area) and lock it in place with the allen screws when viewing. Life has been much better with this flexibility.
You may want to google: TV Swivel Brackets, endless supply....

Was it one that swung out, and had a locking feature?

I would definitely get a mount that will lock in a stored position. Travel trailers quite often bounce around a lot more than Class A, B, or C's.
We had an Aerolite 25'. Things seemed to move around a lot in the trailer, so we did an experimental drive around the neighborhood with me in the trailer. It was an eye opener. Even though the streets were fairly smooth, going around a corner was a bit scary. Given the behavior over the small bumps, I would not want to be in the trailer going over a speed bump.
NOTE: this has nothing to do with it being an Aerolite, I have described this experience to others and some have done the same experiment with the same general results.

As to "mounting the mount"............
Interior trailer walls are not that strong. Most are only 1/4" luan plywood (cheap). We used a 12"X18" piece of 3/8" plywood glued to the wall with floor joist (serious) glue and further held it in place with several screws. Keep in mind that a 30 lb. tv probably weighs 100+ lbs for an instant as a bump is hit!

I don't think it matters where they're from. Get one that will do what you want it to do. Just be sure it's mounted securely. It might need reinforced like Hal mentioned.
If you're in the market for another TV set, check out the LED's. Our 32" only weighs 20 lbs & the 26" only 13 lbs. The prices have come down a lot lately.

i second the led sets. our 32" weighs 13 pounds, and is bolted to a mount from Parts Express.

If your budget isn't limited, this opinion might work out. My budget isn't unlimited and I couldn't disagree more with this post (with the exception of the "mounted securely" part).
Price and quality are ALWAYS part of the equation. It DOES matter where they're from.

Jim, the other thing you can do is if you're worried about the "bounce factor" of a TV putting stress on the wall mount, you can always make it removeable from the mount & stow it while travelling.

Not all swinging mounts lock. Be sure you get one that does or use some other way of securing the mount. I agree with SSteve that monoprice.com is a good way to go. If they have a mount that fits your need it will probably be far cheaper than anywhere else. This goes for cables as well. I have bought a fair number of cables and a swivel tv mount from them and always been happy.
