FMCA $1000 King Dome In Motion - Yes?

I'm at the FMCA Rally in Perry, GA. King Controls is offering a show special $999 price on their 9762LP King Dome In Motion system (also known as KD3200). They say this is the result of a big order that wasn't completed and they need to clear the inventory. It looks like about 1/2 the price of the system anywhere else I've looked and less than half of any of the comparable in-motion systems. I'm aware of the DirectTV HD limitations and I don't have a burning requirement for the in-motion capability but this almost looks like too good a deal to pass up. I'd be putting it on a 2010 Winnebago Journey Express. Any advice would be much appreciated. No need to rehash all the satellite goods and others, I'd just like to know if this is the deal it appears to be or if there are some skeletons in this closet I should be aware of.
Thanks!

Does that price include installation and setup?

Thanks,

Nope, that's just the unit itself. New, still in the box of course.

If I was going to spend that much I would spend about $700 more and get a Winegard Traveler so I could get HD. In fact that's what I did last January.
Bill and Janet Adams did mine for about $1700 installed.
I think they are at the rally also. If so I would check with them.

After having 2 domes and now the Winegard Travler, the Travler wins hands down. It never fails to lock on and the reception never falters.

I notice that the traveler has either dish or direct markings on it. Do you have to have one or the other? What if you get it for dish and then wish to change to direct? Are they system specific?
thanks

They are system specific because Direct uses two satellites (99 and 103) that broadcast on the Ka band which is much higher than the Ku band they use on their SD satellites . Dish uses Ku band satellites.
I don't know what is required to convert from one to the other but I suspect it is pretty involved. I would check with Winegard customer service.

That's the Direct version - the Dish version is $1200 here
