Furrion Rear View Camera

Were interested in installing a Furrion Rear View Camera in our 2017 Fox Mountain. Has any one done this? Is it pre-wired or am I going to have to splice wires?
Thanks and Regards
Bill

Well I don't know about your Fox Mountain wiring. You can probably Google the model or call the dealer. However, I installed the Furrion observation camera on my Jayco 5th wheel and it was a breeze. I drilled a hole in the rear for the wiring and found the 12 volt +(Positive) and 12 volt- (Negative) wires and within an hour start to finish I was done. The Furrion camera comes with pretty good instructions.

Thank you for confirming what I expected to learn. On-line reviews of this camera system are mixed, pro and con, suggesting that quality control is and issue as well as misunderstood and incomplete instructions. We are going to wait to order till just before our next trip (Christmas) trip. A couple of weeks install/return time will make use of Amazon's 30 day return window if needed.
Thanks for your time and information.
Regards

Bill

You might want to consider Haloview. My fifth wheel was prewired for the Furrion but I didn't really feel confident in it because of the reviews. The Haloview had great reviews and was only $225.00 direct from the manufacturer. 7" monitor, built in microphone, records to SD card and supports up to 4 cameras. I love ours, great picture.

Another vote for the Haloview. My friend did install the Furrion and after seeing mine and the price I paid, he is not happy. He wish he would have gone Haloview.

Update Appreciated

Your comments on the haloview are appreciated. looks like a much better deal than the furrion. Both have worrisome reviews but, were risking less with the haloview. We have all to many nonfunctional or obsolete devices now. As a psuedo-geek it's a problem.
