For anyone out there that has this GPS. Recently I was using my unit with just the map showing and no destination programmed. The unit displayed (favorite) 10 min. One of my nearby favorites showed in the bar at the top of the screen with the time it would take to get there. That is where the next cross street is supposed to be displayed. After awhile it goes away and the map shows in the correct manner. I called Garmin CS and they said the engineers designed it to do that. This doesn't make sense to me since I am not going to that destination, that it picked, and I don't care how many minutes away that it is. Have any of you had this happen?
Thanks, John

Yes mine will do that. I recently moved to Indiana from Ohio. One night I was using the GPS to navigate my way home from an out of town restaurant in Indiana. My GPS reverted (home), to my old Ohio address which was many miles East of where I wanted to go. It has done it a couple of other times. I do not see why they would have programmed the GPS to do this, it could be disastrous. Honestly I don't care for GPS except for in city navigation.
