Garmin N52 GPS question

Our newly bought 2007 Fleetwood Revolution 42N LE has a Garmin 52N GPS system running through a Sony receiver built into the MH dash. GPS uses a remote to operate. Garmin instruction book shows a SD card slot to update downloads from the Garmin website located on the front left side of the unit.

We have downloaded the update onto a SD card but are having difficulty finding the slot for the SD card. Would it be on the 52N unit or does the Sony have a fold down feature as is common in some builtin GPS systems? The diagram of the unit seems to show a hindge on the front of the display unit. We just do not want to destroy our new, for us, receiver. Any help would be most appreciated.

Many thanks...Jack&Rita

That's the same GPS my unit has. The SD card slot is on the GPS itself, not the Sony monitor.

I have GVN53, which is the successor to the 52. The card slot is on the GPS unit and is indeed difficult to detect. Mine has a fairly large door that opens up to give access to that area but the card slot itself is hard to find.
