I really like the unit but am disappointed that garmin has eliminated the bus and truck options which I found helpful at times on my old nuvi 350.

The rest of the features are great and the screen size is much easier to read.

I've been looking for a replacement for my old unit as well.
Take a look at the nuvi 465T.

The 1490t was delivered already as I figured it would have the same funtions as the 350 plus the extras. I got it for the easier to read 5 inch screen or I would not have upgraded yet.
I spotted the truck model and some reviews here said it wasn't what it's made up to be.
I will have to live with the auto mode but I don't know why they would drop that function.

I would have thought the 1490t would have the same features as well. The 5" screen is nice.
Thanks for the info on the "truck" model. I'll have to keep searching.

I got a new Garmin 1390T and like most features, but miss it not showing restaurant, banks and gas stations on the screen as my old Lowrance does. I thought more detail would do it but it does not.

I emailed garmin a week ago inquiring about this and so far no answer to my question from their customer support.
I will send another soon.
