Any pros or cons from people that have tried the Garmin Nuvi 465T? This is the model that has a mode for trucks and RV's.

Thanks.

Been using my 465T for a year now. Still impressed with it. Well worth the extra $$ it cost. As with any GPS, it is not foolproof in some situations. Like the fact it is switchable between the truck and car mode.

I've had the 465T for about two years. It is a good unit but does not have all the low clearence roads especially off the interstates.

Routes you away from some roads that are fine for motorhomes but are restricted for trucks. Still does not take the place of doing your trip routing homework ahead of time and keeping your eyes open for signs while you're driving.

I like mine..so far no issues with low bridges or anything. I have found no compass on it or been able to get traffic reports but have not played much with it since I be the one driving. Still have not tryed the blue tooth either...co-pilot will do most of the talking as I drive.

Aside from the clearance alerts -- which is definitely an important feature -- I don't like it.

The map feature on my iPhone (which we use while driving) does a better job of navigating than the Garmin.

I have had mine for almost 1.5 years. Worth it. It will tell you the compass. In truck mode it will keep you on the nice and wide roads. It took awhile to figure out the traffic feature. But in big cities it will help you avoid construction and accidents.

If you have a large RV/bus I do recommended it. I don't know if it is the software upgrades but I am still finding new features.

Just wish it would do XM weather Radar. The motor cycle version is the only one that will do ground base weather radar. I have been caught in some nasty weather. But the traffic feature did tell me to go another route. I just didn't know why and went my route anyway.
