Garmin's latest free software update, dated 2/2/2009, includes the new ecoROUTE feature.

Good tip. I did the upgrade but, it keeps locking up at 97% on the bluetooth firmware upgrade. Any ideas.
I have a nuvi 880

I have a 255W. The 255W does not have bluetooth.
I tried the ecoRoute yesterday. After entering the required data in to my 255W it now shows Average Fuel Mileage in real time.

I installed the "webupdater" onto my 780 and see nothing new or this application- is there something else I should do?

From the Garmin site:
ecoRoute is only currently compatible with nüvi products such as the 2x5 and 7x5 series.

Got my 880 to load w/help of Garmin. Tech said eco is not ready for all units. Mine being one of those. Glad I went for top of the line?????
Hopefully available for me soon.

First you say you got it to load with the help of Garmin and then you end it with "hopefully available for me soon."

Should have quoted earlier post. I was rushing when I wrote last.
Anyway, when I did the upgrade my Garmin locked up everytime on the bluetooth firmware update portion. I couldn't get it to start up.
I finally got that problem fixed w/a Garmin tech and had the latest version of all software loaded.
While I was on the phone w/Garmin waiting, the tech told me that the ecoRoute wasn't available for the 880. I was reporting that not all units are ready for it yet.
Also, it seems surprising that the nuvi 880 wouldn't be one of the first to get ecoRoute as it is near the top of the line. I'm sure there is a good reason, but, I spent the $$$ I want more techie stuff
