Google GrandCentral Phone Forwarder- Beta Testers

This, right now, free service may be of use to some of you. We signed up and it has been fun and useful so far.

You choose a local phone number from a location of your choice and when someone calls the number GtandCentral takes command of the call and directs it as you have requested in your setup.

This is still in Beta and the Google Geeks need input to enhance the features.

Google is doing the invite thing like the did for gmail, but I think you can get in on your own. If you would like an invite let me know and I'll send you one.

Anyway, as I said, we have had fun with it and thought some you might also.

Update, I received the invite, thanks again.

I think one of the really effective features is that if your aging parents live in another area of the country but don't want to spend the money making a long distance call, you can set up your phone number so it's a local call for them. Very interesting.
