I got this HP photo scanner for Christmas and cannot scan 35 mm slides. I can see the frames but that it. It does good on pictures, but nothing on slides. I am using five slides as the instructions say. Anybody got one or got any idea what I am doing wrong ?

i used to have a printer/scanner that said it would do 35mm slides.

The attachments that came with it were so much trouble, we never used it for that purpose. Darn shame too. That scanner cost almost $5,000 too and it never saw the use that we budgeted for in our office.

Merry Christmas Tom...

HP's website talks about needing a Transparent Media Adapter for scanning slides and negatives but it looks like your scanner has one built in. I would look at your scanner settings since I'll bet that one of them is for slides. The site also talks about covering scanner bed area that doesn't have slides, with plain paper so light doesn't get into the slide area to be scanned. Don't know but it could be light getting in and washing out the slides.

Good Luck...
