I use the truckers Garmin Dezl. Garmin makes a motor home version too. I wanted to be able to put in my weight, height, width, length, for proper road selection. Dezl allows coordinate input also, which is important to me. Some irv2 posts have indicated the motor home version does this too?

I have the Gamin dezl 760LM Disappointed that the bridge height only works on state and federal highways! County and local side roads all say no data available!
State and federal highways all have clearance for semi's or well marked!
It's the side roads that I worry about!

I use the Co-Pilot app and the Rand McNally truckers atlas. The combo has always worked. With Co-Pilot you choose the RV app and you are able to put in the specs for your coach. Nothing is fool proof. That’s why I use the atlas to double check. Also the wife likes to be able to see the “big picture” via the atlas when we are driving.

I've been using the Garmin RV760LMT (predecessor to the 770) for over three years and it has not steered me wrong. You can put in height, weight, length, width and it will route you around known obstacles. On Hwy 101 in Oregon it insisted on routing me around a tunnel that showed the side height of only 11'6" even though the height of the arched roof over the lanes was over 14'. I had driven the tunnel in the Jeep so I knew it was okay, but the GPS kept showing I should take a 120 mile detour.

Don't blame the GPS. The state is responsible for maintaining road data which is sold to the electronic mapping services. If the state you are in doesn't collect/supply bridge height data, then your GPS won't be able to warn you. Same applies to weight limits, road widths, construction and so on. And to make it even worse, state map data is often out of date.
