Digital Oasis sells the Garmin 7200 for $299 factory refurbished. Comes with Garmin 1 year warranty. Any thoughts on this? New prices are any where from $500 up.

It's a great product and if you trust the seller and they can prove the Garmin warranty (not grey market) then it sounds like a great deal to me.

I'll go with Bill on that one. If it is as advertised, it's a great product at a great price.

Bill & Jim thanks for your input. I did check to see if they are a Garmin distributor and it appears they are, they have a Garmin logo on their internet site and they sell new Garmins. With all that said I think I will go with it. If it turns out bad I will let everyone know.

WE bought the 7200 from them back in August. I paid $400 and that was a good deal. They are either owned by Garmin or are an agent. These units are not grey market and mine was brand new!! The 7200 is discontinued and Garmin apparently had lots of leftovers. This is a fantastic unit. Works out of the box with no loading of software. Easy to use. I love the big screen!!

order an extra mount for your car. Don't "stick" it on your car dash but stick it on to non skid material and attach a suction cup to the rear so that it sticks to the windshield but the base sits on the dash. That way you can remove it from the car when you wnat (the mount) but be able to swith the main uint -7200- from the motorhome to the car in back in seconds.
I originally paid about $1300 for mine and have never been disapointed.

I use the beanbag mount from Mount Guys (24.89) in my SUV when I want the bigger screen. It does a great job.

I contacted Garmin and on their site they list all the authorized retailers. It turns out Oasis is not on their list as an authorized retailer. If they are not Garmin would not support warranty. I am not saying they are not an authorized retailer but with the information I was able to attain I was a little leery and decided to buy from Amazon for a little over $500. They are an authorized retailer. Thanks for the mounting info JCM & Jim. I did buy the remote antenna so I will be able to locate the GPS in several places in my other vehicles. I get delivery today and I will be able to figure out exactly what I will need.
