GPS RV760 Wrong Address

I just lived a nightmare. My new GPS took me to a KOA that wasn't there. Using the WhereTo - RV Parks directory for Leander, TX KOA. Warning, check the addresses before assuming they are correct.

GPS devices can also put you on roads where you do not belong or would never travel even on a bicycle.

They are not the Road Bible by no means. I always use other methods in conjunction with any of my two Garmin GPS devices.

You just learned a valuable lesson. Never trust your GPS device 100%.

All it takes is one wrong number , when the Lats/long's are in-putted into the data base and you're on the dark side of the moon.
Designed and built by man, and subject to human error, every step of the way, a useful tool; yes ; an absolute replacement for a map; no. JMHO.

Does the Garmin warn about low clearances? I believe RM does, but Garmin is unknown in my research.

Because of my Garmin I got to see downtown Manhattan up close and personal in a forty footer towing my pickup. I now check with my map first.

My GPS is only as good as my road atlas and most effective if I already know where I am going. I left the road atlas at home when I first used a GPS never again.

The RM unit has a longs ways to go before it can even closely be compared to the most recent Garmin RV760- LMT GPS unit.

I guess some Googling is in order to research what Garmin has to offer.
