We have been using a Magellan Maestro for several years and it has done us well as long as we put up with its quirks. The reason for replacement is that Magellan stopped updating maps for it less than a year after we purchased it and the maps are getting old. Made for an unhappy customer.
We looked at Garmin and Tom Tom a year ago and my wife noticed that TomTom has campgrounds in their POI menu. Recently Garmin, with Trailer Life, has introduced a model with Trailer Life Campground directory campgrounds loaded. I know Garmin has a good reputation but the campground model is expensive and we feel the Trailer Life Directory is too limited. We prefer Woodal's. I am leaning toward a Tom Tom 2535 TM but do not know what campground data base they use. I'd appreciate hearing any experience, info, opinions, etc. you may have on GPS's with campgrounds in their POI data base.

There are several campground POIs out there that can be uploaded to most GPS units. Just google for RV POI or RV park POI or campground POI and you will find serveral.
Here is one.. http://www.gps-data-team.com/poi/uni...ground_US.html

x2 - The link posted is one of the better know for POI's
Also, the Discovery Owners Club has many, many POI's for different GPS systems that are as good as the Data Team POI's.
I personally like the POI Mega File for Microsoft Streets and Trips.

We've used Tom Tom 910 Go for 4 years now and find that their CG POI contains about 80% of the CGs we look for. Handy but not complete.

I finally am ready to reply with info on what I chose. I selected a TomTom GO 2505TM. I haven't used it much, yet, but will be leaving tomorrow on a trip to Blue Ridge, Virginia. The little I have tried the new GPS has me pleased. I'm sure by the time I have returned I will have a more well formed opinion of the TomTom. I did have issues downloading the Newest Map Guarantee and activating the Lifetime Maps but found the TomTom help line to be fast and effective. The techs were knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and patient. My basic problem was an incompatibility between my computer and the MyTomTom app. Switched computers and all worked as it should. I plan on adding additional campground POIs from one of the sources recommended. It appears the installed campground info is OK but not as complete as I would like. The ability to add POIs will help correct the limitations.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

We bought a Garmin 1450 LMT, didn't know till months after purchase that under POI in motels is a section that includes campgrounds! We both like this GPS very much.
