Our Monaco came with an LCD TV and a Kingdome. The Direct receiver was an H20, able to get HD. This receiver was like a toaster oven. Very hot even when turned off. I replaced it with an H21. Monaco wires the Direct to the TV with an HDMI cable. The original Direct receiver had an inlet for the roof antenna for off air reception. When you wanted to watch TV off the antenna you had to use the input on the Direct remote to toggle that signal. The new receiver does not have that off air connection. I cannot run a coax from the antenna to the TV as all the wiring is hidden behind the cabinets. I also dont think the TV has a coax connector. Is there some sort of splitter that would accept a new HDMI cable from the Direct and the coax from the antenna and then send it to the TV via the old HDMI cable . I saw the post with reference to a splitter. Is there some sort of converter to change a coax to HDMI? Thanks

No, you will need to run HDMI or component cables to the TV for the HD signal and you will need an RF input on the TV to receive the over-the-air signal.

My DishNetwork DVR is connected directly to the TV using an HDMI cable. The antenna connects via COAX thru the Winegard switch. I leave the switch on ANTENNA nd change the TV input to switch between Satellite and Antenna. I'm not connected to CG cable, but if I were, I would have to switch at the Winegard.

Kstar:

Thanks but my unit does not have a switch box nor is it required. If I could run a coax to the TV my problem would be solved. There must be a way. I am going to call Monaco.

Belden showed a wireless HDMI connection at the last Consumer Electronics Show and promised it would be available in July (but such promises are often optimistic). There are wireless HDMI devices available now, but they are commercial grade units and very pricey ($700 range). Belden is bringing out a consumer grade model and expectations are that it will be under $500.
Belken FlyWire

According to CNet, Philips has a single circuit model available now for about $299.
