Intense solar storms could temporarily disrupt radio and wireless phone frequencies through Saturday 12/30-31/2011. GPS signals could also be affected.

If you wrap the GPS and radio in Alum Foil they won't be effected.

My tinfoil hat works just fine for me - it should work on the GPS as well.
