There's only one thing you could do if your worried, don't conduct online transactions. that being said when we (the company) first heard of this we immediately updated all of our web servers affected, turns out it only affects certain software versions. Won't go into all the IT speak but we only had a few affected. The problem with articles like the one above doesn't relay all of the information, only "the sky is falling". There's been much worse believe me. Second, if it was being used in the virtual world prevelantly then we'd have heard of instances of serious breaches, which we haven't as of yet.

It is very serious for various reasons. Not serious for me but the nature of the vulnerability is horrendous.
