Help choosing tv antenna

Hi everyone, I'm new here, and the new owner of a 19ft 1973 Dodge Tioga class C. An old man had it on his property and hadn't used it in 8 years so he allowed me to take it off his hands for free! Looks great inside, one minor leak up front but no big issues after that is sealed up. Right now my partner and i are 1100 dollars in to it and it runs like a top and we have been camping in it already this year. We put a tv in it and have been trying to decide what antenna to put on top. My grandparents old one had a windup situation that you would then have to aim at the signal. I have seen some omni directional antennas that I could use going down the road but don't know anything about them. Also, will i need a box of some sort to convert the signal to show up on the tv? What have you used that sucked? What have you used that worked good? What would you buy if you could do it again? Any help would be great!

You may be able to get by just fine with "rabbit ears". Most common on RV's is the Winegard "Bat Wing" style antenna that mounts on the roof, and connects through a signal amplifier. They crank up when in use and lie flat for travel. Unless you added a modern "digital" tv, you will also need a signal conversion box to convert the digital signal to analog to be able to watch it.

I have the winegard Which I added the wingman to. Works so good that I may never use that in motion dome thingy on top.
