Hi all,
I get 0 for quality on my sonicview sv360 premier reciever.
I have a King-Dome and need help setting it up...
First, What LNB do most KDs have?
My Dome is a 15" in Manual Mode.
What does that mean?
Can it be switched to automatic mode?
I have the diagnostic keypad.
Things i have found out are:
dome software is 2.6
Code 22 says it is set for Dish Network
code 55 says it is a 15" in Manual mode
Elevation zone is 0.5
holding the 0 for 3 sec starts a search(hear motors)
and a code of 88 = lock on sat...
How do I find out what sat it is locked on to?
Where do I find the serial number?
Thanks in advance
jeff

Good luck trying to get this to work! The KD has 1 single (dual output) KU band that can receive the programming from DirecTV, Dish Network and Bell Express Vu. No automatic mode will get you the programming from any other service.
The KD is designed to lock onto 110 and 119 for dish network (possibly 129 if you have the most current hardware/software). It will also lock onto 101 for DirecTV. You may be able to pull up the satellite and transponder that you are trying to locate and hit search over and over again in hopes that it will lock onto whatever bizarre satellite you are trying to locate. The KD serial number is stamped on a plate on the dish itself if you can't find it elsewhere.

Give King Controls a call. They will most likely have to call you back but they are very good about this. They are good people to talk to about your problem and they will give you accurate advice re your particular dome. It would be good, of course, to have the serial number off your dome.

Hi Bill,
I have only played around with it a little... first FTA was on Echostar 3 where i found
one channel and it was from Isral I think... The dome does a great job of hiting
Dish Net and Direct Tv... I am just learning how to use the diagnostic keypad to hit
other sats...
Here are two websites I use.
FTAList.com - The easy list of North American free-to-air TV channels
Satellite Finder / Dish Pointing Calculator with Google Maps | DishPointer.com
I am hoping to get on AMC4 where the history channel is unscrambled...
Galaxy 19 has about 30 english speaking and about 30 in aribic.. of the 30 English
24 are religious.. and a few are news...
I am a ham... k9jtg and I am getting a kick out of surfing the stars...
later
jeff

Let us know if you have any success with getting anything other than the big 3 (101, 110 and 119) and how you did it.

I changed over to direct tv on the king dome and have only scanned niniq 2 at 82.0W
It had a cool music channel... rest was scrambled... It takes a long time to scan...
but I have found 99signal and 75or higher Quality on the following sats...
72.5, 82.0, 91.0, 100.9, 107.3, 118.8, 121.0, 129.0, and 148.0 ... all are West.
none are on the list of Fta sats that i was hoping to get but...
I have Over the air tv with a booster on the RV and pull in 27 channels... abc, cbs, nbc
fox, this, ion, 6pbs and lots of religious which have been keeping me busy...
But on some slow night I can always scan some more... will keep you advised...
