I am getting this radio and media player UTCDV2007IP - JENSEN AM/FM/CD/DVD/iPod Ready Under Cabinet Stereo System I have an older RV with an amplified Winegard TV antenna, and also an automotive FM antenna that I added some time ago for a 12V radio. My question concerns the best antenna set-up for AM/FM. Should I get a new separate radio antenna? Can I use some kind of splitter for the Winegard? Can I attach some kind of radio antenna onto the Winegard antenna? What are my options? I realize I am asking for a lot of help, so I do appreciate any responses.

tinkerreknit, it appears to me that you would need a roof mounted monopole conventional FM antenna for the radio. I have 2 seperate antennas for both of our radios. That's what seems to work for us.

Thank you very much DriVer. I will go with separate antennas then. The stereo unit is on the way and I will have plenty of time to renew the connections on the existing AM/FM antenna.
