How to enlarge G-Mail incoming e-mail
The wife's elderly aunt has started using an Ipad to e-mail us and it comes to us in very small print, which with our tired old eyes is hard to read. Is there a way for us to enlarge the print after it comes in to us? One of her sons has set this up for her now that she is in an Assisted Living facility so I hate to ask her to do something she won't know how to.
We using either a laptop with Vista or one with Windows 7. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hold the ctrl key and the plus (+) or minus (-) key while viewing the email.
Hold the ctrl key and the 0 (zero) key to reset the zoom.
The magnifier option works differently and in my opinion makes reading harder as it enlarges the area your mouse is over. Using the control key enlarges everything.
Works on most webpages as well.

Put two fingers on the trackpad and spread them apart to make everything bigger. Bring fingers closer together to make smaller.
Or (if no trackpad), in the menu bar at the very top of the screen, click View and Zoom to see the zoom menu.

If you have a wheel on your mouse, try holding control down and roll the wheel forward.

I missed the iPad part. I believe the ipad can be set up so the default compose method is rich text. That way it should come to you as it was typed.
Ask her son to look into it. Should be under mail preferences/compose.
Or just use one of the methods posted to zoom in.

Ask her sons to change the font the next time they visit her.

Great, so far the wheel is working fine. Will see if I can do this again when the next e-mail comes in. Knowing I have two ways to do the enlargement with the wheel and the +- signs makes things even better.
