I need internet 24/7

I own a web development company and I'm going full time into rving however I need a wifi connection or data plan 24/7 that won't destroy my wallet.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be awesome!

Thanks,
Sureshot

As long as you're always going to be somewhere with reasonable cell coverage, your best bet is probably going to be millenicom.com. Verizon plan with 20GB/mo limit. Or a Sprint WiMax plan with unlimited downloads. Or maybe both, depending on where you travel.

Satellite won't cut it for you unless you pay thousands a month.

I am actually looking at millenicom right now thanks!

I'd be interested in buying 2 of their plans and using 40GB is that the highest option available?

Except for the Unlimited Sprint plan, yes.

If you absolutely must have internet access at reasonable speeds and are going to depend on cellular systems, you will need to plan your trips to areas with decent coverage. We have Verizon, Sprint, and ATT devices and still occasionally stop in areas with limited or no coverage. This happens especially in remote western US areas, rural areas of the midwest, and the mountains (big hills) of TN, SC, NC. You will also need to consider using external antennas and boosters to enhance reception. If access is very important you may wish to consider satellite. It is expensive, and not very fast, but coverage is almost everywhere.

Seems to me that web development files are pretty large. Most of the 4G carriers are pretty good, but speed varies greatly from location to location and total data load. I use two different carriers and do photo imaging work. Often both carriers will not handle my files for the above reasons. I use Hughesnet at home and it is usually fast enough, but expensive. The equipment for mobile is a little expensive, and I understand it works well, but weather and overall data load affect it also. I am not aware of any other options.

I am very happy with my Unlimited Sprint plan and I am a heavy user. The proposed monthly expense if I switched companies scare me.
The costs when we were in Canada for a few days was even reasonable.

With ANY cell plan there will be some areas with limited coverage.

I called millenicom and they seemed very helpful at a great rate IMO.

I'm okay with paying $200/mo so long as I have full access and my overall bills are 1/5 of what I pay for a large house.
