Winegard doesn't have any in motion Internet.
Or any kind of Internet. They do have a lot of choices for TV dishes.
Only reasonable price in motion Internet, would be wireless when you are close to a tower. Verizon, Sprint, ATT and etc.

The word "internet" totally escaped my little brain.

In motion internet.. There is one system that promised to do 2-way Sat-in motion however I do not know if they ever delivered. I may have the URL around here but frankly I doubt it.... Just checked.. I do not have it..
However there are Cellular based systems that do work in motion... The problem here is that no matter how much they advertise and brag about their coverage.. Not one of those companies can claim that they have 100% coverage without lying to you,, Not even the "Can you hear me now" company has 100% coverage.
2-Way sat-internet providers do have very very close to 100 percent coverage (Dead spots are few, small and far between) but..... No in-motion 2-way satellite internet..

VZN probably has the most coverage across the nation. Have used their aircard for years from coast to coast and border to border and to date only have found one place in WVA on a mountain top that it did not work. Worked at foot of mountain both sides tho (I64 just east of Charleston). others probably work just as well as they use others towers

You will need two internet sticks if you want internet in Canada and the USA. To the best of my knowledge, there is not one that gives you the the same price if you are in Canada or the USA. Each will work in the other country, but the cost is very prohibitive. I use AT&T in the USA and Telus in Canada.

Yep, unless you have special internet needs the Verizon air card would work very well.
Do your research to decide what you want to do for satellite TV. Figure out if you need in motion TV... if you think you'll want HD now or in the future... and if you have a preference for Dish or DirecTv.
Once you answer those questions the dish you choose will be more clear.
Good Luck...

Winegard does have an in-motion internet product. It is an expensive solution, but it works, probably better than an air card. Here: http://www.winegard.com/travelnet/index.php

I use Verizon Mifi in the US and Bell Mobility in Canada for internet. Purchase the "aircards" outright so that you have the ability to put them "on vacation" when you leave their respective country, for a minimum charge ($15. I believe).
For satellite, we use Shaw Direct, formerly Star Choice, a portable dish. The rooftop Auto Winegard Traveller for Shaw works well but is pricey.

Did you have any issues getting the Bell account with a US address and credit card? Did you do it over the net from the US, or when you were in Canada?
We're going to the Maritimes for a couple months this summer, and would like to get a Bell or Telus account for the trip.

We had a Verizon card for years. Then when we made the unfortunate decision to purchase a computer running Vista I had to change cards. That's when they slipped in a 5 gig limit when I didn't read the contract! If I had known I would have purchased the card. We dropped Verizon last June after our commitment was up. In the US we are almost never without free WIFI in RV parks or hotels. When we are we tether my smart phone to the computer. It's a little slower but works for the few days we need it.
