Have an lot of questions here. Is there any way to connect the HDTV's that came with the new MH and thru the Winegard videoswitch? The directv box does not have a coax out which is required to connect to the video switch. Should I run HDMI cable from the directv receiver straight to the midship TV? Any suggestions as to who, and cost of running this cable. Live in Jersey. The only other idea that I may have is to purchase the HDMI over coax offered by Gefen, but that is only in presale according to their website and is very pricey ($800) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So Don, is this a brand new Directv receiver? ie., did they do away with the coax output to tv connector? My Directv HD DVR receiver has a coax output to connect to a tv. It also has the standard RCA jacks and the HDMI. Mine is a little over a year old though.

Yes, the new HD receivers have no RF output so some other connection is required to receive TV.
The only way to get an HD signal to your TV's is with the HDMI or component outputs. Since you have gone to all the expense to receive the HD signal I assume you would like to watch it.
If you only need the HD signal on one TV you can run an HDMI cable there and then take the Video cables (yellow, red, white) and plug them into an RF converter. Radio Shack sells one. You plug the video cables into the converter and the output is RF which can be plugged into your Video Control Center. This non-HD signal can then be sent where ever the controller sends the signal.

Bill

Thanks for your response. Any idea what it would cost to have CW for example run the HDMI cable to the midcoach TV? Also for me to watch HD in the bedroom I will be getting a second HD receiver.

No. I am sorry but I have no idea. Somewhere around $100/hour in labor with you suppling the cable?
