internet explorer stopped working

On my laptop I am getting INTERNET EXPLORER STOPPED WORKING checking for solutions and then back to desktop with a message to go to home page or where I was.
I just got iolo system mechanic hoping this would find it but so far I still got the problem. Any ideas to what going on? I am using Windows 7

Go to your last known good restore point and restore your system. Then switch to Firefox or Safari. I'd say switch first, but you have to have a browser running to down load them.

Just switched mine to Firefox today. What a difference. My Int. Expl. would freeze up on the irv2.net web site. Firefox works great.

Consider it a blessing in disguise that Internet Exloder quit. It's nothing but a virus, hack and malware sponge - Don't bother fixing it.
