Search for the article by D. Bott on how to set up a reliable network for under $100.

The best source for reliable internet will be one of the wireless providers with Verizon having the broadest coverage. So, with a proper router (one that can do WiFi as WAN) and a MiFi you will have just about 100% coverage. What you will realize after a while is that campground WiFi isn't worth the effort and you will use your MiFi more and more.

Some routers to look at are Pepwave SOHO, Cradlepoint, and WifiRanger (which is more of a system).

Or you can use the hotspot feature in your phone . . .

One system you do not want is Hughes. We had Hughes Net for about 6 years but after Hughes came out with their Gen 4, support and system capability went into the crapper. Gen 4 cannot be used in a mobile setup. I went to a Verizon MIFI JetPack hotspot and have been very happy with the coverage and price. If you are dead set on a satellite dish, contact Mobile Satellite Technologies in VA. They were my provider with Hughes and were very helpful, but the cost of moving to a new system would have been about $15,000 a year ago. Our service on a Verizon Hot Spot MIFI has worked VERY well all over the US and works MUCH better than I expected in Alaska as well as the more remote areas of the US. Make sure if you go that way to insist on a system that will drop into 3G and 1X if you cannot get to a 4G area. Not all Verizon JetPacks will do this. My cost for the JetPack was free, $50 and a $50 rebate, and I pay $50 a month for 5 gigs a month.
