Some newer coaches have an IR 'eye'for the outside TV to transmit the IR signal to the receiver inside the overhead..I'm currently using the old RCA pyramids that work ok but are not fixed and are a pain to deal with. What can I use and where to get that eye setup..I'd like to mount it permanently instead of dealing with the portable pyramids...

I have used the RCA IR remotes (or the Radio Shack equivalent) for many years without issue. If you need to make them permanent (as opposed to what?) you can Velcro or screw them in place. I am sure that there is a solution out there for hundreds of dollars but the pyramids sure work well for cheap!

I use extenders purchased at Circuit City and made by Terk. They sell for about $45 and work great. I've used velcro to secure the units in an out of the way place.
