You could probably find a DirecTV 18" that will do the trick for you. DirecTV SD uses Ku band, like Dish does for all of its satellites.

For what it is worth, you'll get only a small portion of the HD channels on just 129. If you do a search on your browser "satellite channel listing and 129" you'll find that Dish spreads its channels on all three satellites, so you'll certainly want to obtain an antenna that pulls in all three satellites. TechWriter--It wasn't much work at all. The LNB arm was riveted (not welded). Five minutes with my drill to remove two of the four rivets and I was done. The reason I bought a second 1000.2 is because that is what Dish installed at my S&B house. I was familiar with how to install and find the satellites with it. I can just buy the WA LNB head (don't need the whole arm) to swap out for the EA twin head.

Seems the Tailgater and a Dish 211k receiver would be an inexpensive solution. Plus you can get Hi Def!

I have an app on my iPhone (DP AR Pro) that helps determine if the view is clear, works great. By the way, the Tailgater will work even when only one or two satellites can be found, the Tailgater looks for 110, 119 and 129, but can get stations related to just one when the view is dicey.

Thanks Dave for post. Believe it or not I have found out from my home plan that very few hd programming are NOT on 129. Here is the list (the right most column) DISH Network HD Lineup.

Buying another 1000.2 is one of options for me (it's dirt cheap on craigslist). I installed the same unit on my house roof and still running flawlessly. The first time it took me some time to figure out; after that it was a blitz. Size is the only culprit. I will see what I can come up with... Cheers.

I posted more for the benefit of others who might want to use a dish as is instead of drilling, etc.

I appreciate the listing, but, at least on my program guide, the vast majority of those 4 digit channels are not available. For instance, 4101, the Golf Channel yields nothing. The set goes to 5200 (a local channel for someone).

I am not sure what the discrepancy is, but I am currently parked in a location where my Traveller says I have all three, but I don't have some of the 110 offerings.Been looking closely a the channel listings shown on the web.......unfortunately, DISH WILL NOT post such a listing. I have raised hell a couple of times with their RV help desk to no avail:(

The dish listing is 3 digits not 4 , you might get better results on channel 401.

And, I'm familiar with the Dish Program Guide and channels. I suspect, but do not know, that there may be a different program guide for home based LNBs or receivers. I have VIP 211s in the coach, where the listings are three digit with the exception of a few music channels.

I must be missing what you are attempting to do. Yes, there are 4 digit channel access to all those listed but isn't easier to do 3?
For example HBO can be accessed by punching in 9456 or simply 300. From 300 all of the HBO channels are sequential , 300, 301, 302, etc.
Just seems easier to me.
So, are you saying that you don't get a guide when in your rv?

Oh I see what you were talking about now... 3 digit numbers are SDs while 4 digits are HDs. For example, on 200 channel you can get CNN, that is with 480p resolution, while on 9436 you can get CNN too, but with 1080P (or 1080i) resolution. The graphic clarities are hugely different.
