You did a good job with the install instructions.
But I still don't understand why you replaced a perfectly good work Batwing. With something that can collect bugs and tree limbs.
After you fixed the F connector. All you needed to do was put plenty of Dielectric grease in it and screw it on. It would be many many years before it would ever corroded again.

The Jack should never corrode and I am expecting that it will out perform the batwing. Technology always moves forward and if it's there to try, I will give it a shot if I see value in it. I don't expect to wreck the antenna but the Jack looks like it can take care of itself up there - plus - what you are not seeing is my ~30" tall Firestick. If the stick hits something, I'll stop and back up.

There are quite a few threads with titles like Jack v/s batwing on the assorted forums.
The Batwing, with the wingman add-on, and the jack appear to be six/half dozen type compareson,, That is, not much different.
To my way of thinking the Batwing, having longer wings, should work better in those markets that still have broadcastes in the VHF band.. Which, by the way, includes where I'm parked just now. The JACK, should be about equal at UHF reception. NOTE the displayed channel number need not reflect the broadcast frequency..
Examples: Where I'm parked.
Display/Frequency (Broadcast channel)
4 - 36
7- 7
13 - 13
16 - 16
21 - 21
29 - 9
Partial list
The display channel need not match the one on the screen any more.
The switch to digital, several stations moved UP to UHF, (29 in the above example seems to be the odd man out, they moved down.)
